The remainder of St. Leonards parish (comprising part of the Topsham Artillery barracks, together with the house, garden, and grounds occupied as judges' lodgings and including Larkbear) remained in St. Thomas registration district, and became part of the parish of Heavitree on 8.4.1879, and thereafter the parish of St. Leonard was situated wholly in Exeter registration district.
