The list below shows the civil registration districts in the City of London from 1st July 1837, and the County London from its formation on 1st April 1889, until its abolition on 1st April 1965 (thereafter see the county of Greater London). The same districts were used to compile the censuses returns for the years 1851, 1861, 1871, 1881, 1891 and 1901.
